Subdividing, renovating and extending a property
Although Tim and Kristy’s former home had ‘good bones’ and a classic 70s design, it was badly in need of love. The renovation process started when they moved the house 40m back from its original position. Now, they are thrilled with the results.
A 1955 bungalow renovation in New Zealand
With an extension that opened up living spaces and updated kitchen and bathroom, homeowner Lynne Curran was ecstatic.
''It really was the best solution for my budget and ticked all the boxes I had, just in a way I hadn’t imagined. I would never have been able to envisage something so clever.''

Historic House Renovation
This 100 year plus villa was transplanted to where it now enjoys both sea and bush views at the back of the house. Our customer wanted to be able to make the most of those features with a covered deck. They also wanted a laundry door added and laundry re lined for a new cabinet system. We demolished the old deck and put in new posts and beams using glulam beams so that we could get a wide span for the view. We then put timber slates as a feature. A traditional roof and soffit was put onto the side of the house to keep in with the original features. The handrail matches the front of the house as does the lacework.
