Selecting the right fireplace for your home...
The Fireplace is the New Zealand distributor for three international brands of fires– Jetmaster, Heat N Glo and Gazco / Stovax range of wood and gas and electric fires – therefore they can provide a totally unbiased opinion as to what best suits your personal needs.

Jetmaster Freestanding
There are a couple aspects to consider when selecting the right fire for you:
- The right type of heater for the situation
- The decor (fascia, surround, hearth, finish)
It is essential that we determine the required heating needs (primary / secondary / aesthetic) first and then our experienced sales consultants can work with your Refresh project manager to help advise what decor would best suit the room or home surroundings.
Your fireplace is a very important aspect of your home in that not only supplies warmth and character but also provides you with a focal point throughout the year, so we emphasise that it should be chosen with your heart as part of your persona.
Our Auckland Showroom is designed to provide you with a wide range of ideas and innovative products demonstrating over 30 different models of fires and various methods of decor. Based on what your requirements are, we can provide a solution that meets both your ‘heating’ and ‘design’ needs.

Stovax Riva Studio 3 with Profile Frame
If necessary, we will arrange for a field consultant to meet with you in your home at your next meeting with your Refresh project manager to advise if the product you prefer is compatible and suitable for your living space.
Your consultant will consider the following factors:
- Ability of product to heat the intended living space- is this for primary, secondary or aesthetic heating values or a combination?
- Clearance factors for installation.
- Adequate air replacement or ventilation for performance.
- Visual impact of the flue system if applicable.
- Site access
- Confirmation of decor choice
Installations: Some fireplace installations can be particularly complex and in such situations, it is important to have a Refresh project manager with us to resolve any installation difficulties that may arise on your site.
All wood fires installed in New Zealand must have a building consent and be installed by a Registered (with The New Zealand Home Heating Association) Technician and hold a current NZHHA Installers Ticket.
Gas Fireplace products do not require a building consent but they must be installed and commissioned by a registered Gas Fitter.

Maintenance:
It is important to remember that like your car all gas fires require a yearly service, and your wood fire should have an annual chimney sweep and internal components integrity check.
The professional team at The Fireplace look forward to being of assistance to you during this important home decision
