Bradley Orr Hawkes Bay Construction Manager
Brad worked as a trade qualified plasterer in the early 90s, then found himself managing the workers as a foreman in New Zealand and then as project manager in Australia. Eventually, he became a Compliance Auditor for Prestige Ltd and Operations Manager with A1 homes.
With over twenty-five years’ experience in both the New Zealand and Australian building industries, Brad has developed his knowledge managing multiple builds from small historical restorations to large construction projects. This includes shop fit out in Bank West projects, Westfield Malls, detention cells, and the ceiling installation of the Virgin Blue terminal in the Sydney International Airport.
Brad is motivated by the challenge of working to timeframes and delivering high-quality outcomes. Brad has found that work and life balance is important in keeping a stable and challenging lifestyle. He finds that the renovation sector of the building industry keeps him on his toes because of the different skill sets that are needed in the construction projects forte. Brad enjoys interacting with the various trades, subtrades, and suppliers to get the best quality of workmanship and materials for the project. He enjoys being part of a highly recognised brand with a long-term future in the building industry. “Renovations is something that I enjoy because you get to see a more satisfying result in a much shorter time frame then you would with new homes or commercial builds, and you meet more people along the way.”
When he is not at work or spending time with his family, Brad has been able to work towards his Project Management Diploma at the end of every day. Brad is good at organising himself and others and sees Refresh Renovations as being the most well-organised brand around. He is well trained in the project management software that Refresh uses and employs reliable contractors with high workmanship that will more than satisfy the homeowner.
As the Construction Project Manager of Refresh Renovations, Hawkes Bay, Brad actively promotes health and safety in the workplace. Brad naturally likes to foster a positive work environment and to connect with clients, subcontractors, and stakeholders to maintain the high-quality standard of Refresh Renovations. He enjoys building rapport and his strong work ethic means he is dedicated and committed to delivering the best outcome. With a growing family of three children, Brad and his wife Amy are committed to the school and to the community outside of work hours.
