Kim Hape Hawkes Bay Renovation Consultant
Kim has over twenty-five years’ experience in estate sales, advising in the development of land finance, land and housing valuations, building and farming methods. Prior to joining Refresh, he has run a sheep lifestyle block with his family that includes lambing and general property care. Kim has been a builder in Australia and England before returning to building in Auckland.
With sales expertise, Kim believes in building relationships with clients to deliver a hassle-free renovation experience. “You help people out the best you can, and they will experience the best”. This is what was key in whatever Kim does in sales and it has served him so well that it has earned him plenty of awards, referrals, and acknowledgments in his line of work. He understands that you don’t get anywhere without hard work because he is a shining example of hard work. “Nothing happens for free, things do not magically appear out of thin air”. Kim looks after his clients with extra care, making sure they are well informed and do not feel neglected or left out of the process. It has been an important part of the Refresh Process that the client has a hassle-free experience during the whole renovation project and that is why working with Refresh Renovations has been a breath of fresh air for Kim after being deeply involved in long days and committed weekends working in the daily grind in Auckland.
Hastings-born, Kim straight out of school, first worked in the automotive industry, as a qualified motor mechanic for eight years before finding his feet in the residential and commercial building industry overseas for a couple of years. After he got married and settled in Auckland, he entered the Real Estate Industry to challenge himself where he stayed until 2017. Impressively, Kim has excelled being the number one Real Estate Agent in the country several times and has worked with United Reality, Professionals, Remax, and Barfoot & Thompson as one of their top company salespeople. During this time, He and his wife Loraine, raised two girls and a boy and have many grandchildren. He decided that he will return to his family roots in the Hawkes Bay in 2017.
After meeting John Young, the director of Refresh Hawkes Bay and joining the Franchise as a Renovation Consultant, Kim has enjoyed meeting and working alongside clients, so they could achieve their dream renovation while not working after hours and the weekends, and spend more time with his family. Kim enjoys scuba diving (he has obtained his scuba license), fishing, boating, water sports and actively supports NZ rugby, both League and Union.
