Emma Randall - Wellington Practice Coordinator

Role: Practice Coordinator
Region: Wellington
Manager: Nick Leko

Emma is our Practice Coordinator and in the office three days a week. She comes from an administrative background and is responsible for the day to day running of the office including invoicing, reporting and project coordination. Originally from the UK, Emma started her career at PR and advertising agencies in the West Midlands.

Providing administrative support on a number of key accounts she liaised with clients and the media on a daily basis. Her days involved coordinating photography shoots, issuing press releases and evaluating coverage. In 2009, an opportunity to take a six month working holiday to New Zealand eventually turned into something more permanent. She initially explored New Zealand for six months, met her future husband and joined him to live in Hamilton. Based there for just over a year, Emma worked on the front desk of Harcourts Hillcrest and Dinsdale offices. Supporting a large team of Real Estate Sales Consultants, Emma assisted with processing contracts and the marketing of properties.

In 2011, she traded the foggy Waikato for windy Wellington and relocated to the capital. Taking a Personal Assistant role at New Zealand Post, over the next five years she held a number of positions there including Brand and Marketing Communications Coordinator, HR Administrator and Talent and Capability Coordinator. During this time she gained permanent residency, purchased her first home in Ngaio, gained a National Diploma in Business, got married, and had her daughter. She loves Wellington for the stunning views, the closeness to nature, amazing restaurants and the wonderful friends she has made.

Emma joined Refresh in January 2017. She enjoys being a part of the renovation process and finds it rewarding to see a project from conception through to completion. Emma draws on previous experience in developing relationships, attention to detail, and organising resources. Since joining the team, Emma has learnt to use Buildertrend, the leading project management software for the construction industry. This is a valuable tool which enables the team to collaborate, track and monitor the progress of each renovation. She has also become familiar with Xero, utilising this software to keep the accounts in check. On her days off, Emma enjoys spending time with her family and volunteers with Wellington North Parents Centre as their Events Manager. She is responsible for organising fundraising initiatives and parent education seminars.
