The couple opted to keep the existing layout intact to manage costs, and committed to painting the upstairs bathroom themselves to stay within budget. When unexpected plumbing issues emerged during the downstairs demolition, Nadeene worked swiftly with the builder and plumber to reroute pipes and keep the project moving. The renovation ran so smoothly that Karen and Daron found room within the $65,000 budget to upgrade one bathroom with a Solatube. The finished spaces are bright, airy, and quietly sophisticated. Vertical stack bond tiles feature in the upstairs shower alongside a freestanding soaker tub, while each bathroom received a floating timber vanity, squoval basin, circular LED-framed mirror, and brushed silver fixtures - understated details that give both rooms their effortlessly chic character.
