“Modify or Move Evening” at Ray White St Heliers
Held on Thursday July 30, this evening was a great opportunity for local homeowners to meet with industry experts and gather information and advice to help with the age-old question - Do you renovate or sell your house?
This Modify or Move Evening was put on by the team at Ray White Real Estate in St Heliers and included a presentation by local renovation specialist JJ (Johannes Jacobs), from Refresh Renovations Auckland Central.
Ray White’s Judith Everitt presented a fascinating insight into the changes the Unitary Plan has made in Central Auckland areas such as St Heliers. Especially where apartment and townhouse developments are being allowed to replace single residential homes on sections that are considered large by today’s standards. She also shared this Auckland Council online resource where Unitary Plan zoning details can be found here.
Refresh Renovations Johannes Jacobs presented an interesting segment on “All You Need to Know About Renovations”. Discussing the process of updating your home and the value-added, with a lot of interest from the audience on the benefits of renovating kitchens and bathrooms. The night concluded with an interesting overview of the mortgage market since NZ’s lockdown and move to level one by Mortgage Broker Tenzin Choedon.
Included in the evening were two great prizes offered by JJ & Ant from Refresh Renovations (Auckland Central). Win a $5,000 Concept & Feasibility Renovation Plan From The Home Design Company Win a Standard Kitchen or Bathroom Design with Interior Designer Catherine Patton
The winners of the Home design were Susan and Kevin Jackson, a couple who have lived in their home for more than two decades. They are excited to have won a design plan that will help them with their renovation of their beloved home.
Graeme Cowley won the Kitchen or Bathroom design and was absolutely thrilled with his win. He has been in his home for 20 years and is thrilled at the prospect of modernising the kitchen and bathrooms, including his en suite. In fact, he was so chuffed that he met with Ant and the designer three days after the Modify or Move Evening and eagerly awaits his new design.
