This Queenstown client decided to add some colour, warmth and modern functionality to their bathroom.
Before the renovation took place, this Queenstown home was in need of some colour. In the initial enquiry the homeowners discussed renovating their kitchen and family bathroom. They also wanted the home’s stand alone garage to be converted into a studio/home office with a shower room. The final touches included cosmetic changes to the master bedroom and utility room, as well as adding some general decoration around the house.
The new bathroom design
The project schedule was planned around the bathroom remaining fully functioning, at the owners request. The walls of the bathroom were brightened with green paint. New laminate flooring and a feature LED mirror added warmth and a touch of flair.
Some of the original fixtures were retained, as they suited the style of the bathroom. While the owners hoped to refurbish and re-use their existing claw-foot enamel bath, a new acrylic freestanding bath turned out to be a much more cost-effective option, while staying within the overall look.
Renovation specialist David Dolphin worked with his clients from the initial consultation through to project completion. The final result is a luxurious and relaxing space that is pleasing to the eye.
