Project Overview

Design & Planning

Council consent was required for the kitchen, bathrooms, and structural upgrades. The team managed all submissions and approvals, ensuring everything met building code requirements.

One of the key planning decisions was to rework the layout completely. The kitchen was moved into the original dining area, creating a more central, connected living space. It also created room for a dedicated coffee station and a new dining zone.

The bathrooms were also reconfigured. The main bathroom was moved into a bedroom to create a larger, more functional family bathroom with natural light. The original internal bathroom space was transformed into a home office or reading nook.

Project Execution

The renovation was completed in three stages:

1. Downstairs living areas
2. Second level
3. Lower basement area

This staged approach helped manage the project's complexity while keeping work organised and efficient.

The team coordinated a wide range of trades, including builders, electricians, plumbers, gas fitters, painters, flooring specialists, and furniture suppliers.
