We asked refresh to come and quote on a small renovation of our kitchen in our 1980s two storey house. We had no idea how Refresh worked at the time so we were flying blind. After being in touch with Refresh national they put us in contact with the local franchise and Wayne Gordon. This process was fast and efficient and Wayne was so friendly and helpful. He came back quickly with all quotes and plans and the process was so easy we ended up extending our renovations to include the bathroom, toilet upstairs and downstairs flooring and laundry. Wayne stayed in contact throughout the consent and building, project managing everything. I changed more than one detail last minute and none of the changes phased Wayne or his team. Any communication issues were rectified with no fuss and we were left with exactly what we wanted. I would reccomend Wayne and refresh renovations as being a practical affordable way to build extend or renovate.

This renovation project started off as a “new carpet, new paint” quick renovation of a 1 bedroom apartment but evolved over several discussions with David into something more complete. It was slightly complicated by the fact my brother (the owner) lives in Hong Kong, I was in Auckland and David was in Queenstown. After meeting David via 3 way video conference, he was fantastic in getting to grips with exactly what was required and organising the different parts in play. During the renovation, David kept us fully informed both by email and through the BuilderTrend webpage. We had a couple of issues that crept up during the renovation and David was eager to provide us with solutions which was most helpful. He was also helpful in resolving additional items that we didn’t realise were needed such as new curtains and replacing a blind in the bedroom. We are very happy with how the apartment has turned out and would have no hesitation in recommending David with your renovation project in the Queenstown region.

Very happy with the consultation & costing and processes - very collaborative. The of builders, electricians, plumbers, etc very helpful, had great advice and suggestions- were problem solvers and had a great can do attitude - and they were all friendly and helpful and obviously all got on together. We had renovated a previous house ourselves and knew this would be a large job. We were attracted by the idea of having the work professionally project managed to ensure that it was done on time and to budget. We initially met Lia at a home show and were impressed enough to request a site meeting to talk through what we wanted done. After discussing our ideas with them and suggesting solutions, Lia and her team began putting together a design. Lia was excellent at preparing the initial quote, finding ways to fit the work we wanted done into our budget, and then overseeing the ongoing work with (construction manager) Milo. We were particularly impressed with her estimates as they were pretty much spot on…(She) was unfailingly polite and patient in her dealings with us and managed our expectations well. She also provided good advice about interior design.
