We recently had our old carport removed. And new one built. This was the first major renovation we have been involved with so there was some anxiety. However we met Saleem who advised the process and all the steps involved. Saleem communicated the process clearly so we knew we were in good hands. There was quite a lot involved in the job covering a variety of different trades people. We had an on line link to the work timetable which also gave us the added function of being able to communicate any concerns. The communication was great between Saleem and ourselves so we always felt we were totally involved in the process. The quality of the build was nothing short of exceptional. We received much feedback from our neighbours who complimented the quality of the build Saleem is a fantastic project manager backed up by outstanding trades people. These included, builders, electricians, plumbers, roofers, concreters. Saleem as well as managing all trades people also dealt with the Auckland City Council. His knowledge of what was required to satisfy all building regulations was first class so we are absolutely sure we have a compliant carport that meets all building standards. I would certainly use Saleem again for any other major works.

Saleem and the team completed a few renovations and build projects across two of our properties. These included two bathroom renovations, converting a garage into a habitable space, and designing and building a carport. Saleem and the team managed the projects end-to-end – from initial consultation, design, build, consent, council inspections, quality assurance etc. Each project was delivered on time, within the agreed scope and to a high standard. The areas where Saleem excels are his clear communication and meeting commitments and deadlines. He also has a calm and reassuring manner, which was needed when unforeseen things crop up. For example, during our garage conversion, some rot was identified on timber framing. Saleem’s team pivoted and remediated this issue quickly and without too much impact on the budget. Another aspect that I want to call out is the team Saleem has picked is respectful and mindful of the noise. With hybrid ways of working, there was usually someone working from home. Saleem’s team kept the noise to a minimum, which was appreciated. I highly recommend Saleem and the team for your next project.

Saleem and the Refresh team came and gutted and renovated our only bathroom. They were great, guided us through the whole way in a professional manner and delivered on time and in budget and kept in constant communication with us, popping by to make sure everything was going as it should. They were so good that we got them back to gut and renovate our kitchen too! Again they delivered on time and in budget and always let us know what was going on, even keeping great communication with me when I had to travel to Europe for a family emergency halfway through the build. I felt very safe leaving everything in their hands and it all looked absolutely wonderful when I got back home. Every thing has been done to a really high standard and all the tradies were lovely and turned up on time and were very respectful of our little house. They were a great team to work with and I highly recommend them!

We worked with Saleem and his team on the renovation of our kitchen, laundry and hallway, two bathrooms and lounge. It required design work, stripping everything out and upgrading all areas. Our experience was extremely good and we would have no hesitation in recommending Saleem. The communication was very good, both in person and via emails and so forth. We found the online system really good. The quality of the work is very high. The site was kept clean and tidy throughout, and checks on quality were regularly undertaken as the works progressed. We completed on time, even with Covid 19 being a consideration. There were no delays and they were actually able to install the kitchen earlier than planned. We would definitely work with Saleem and the team again in the future. And it was fun!

When I was undertaking a renovation in my apartment I decided to employ a renovation company, as the thought of independently sourcing and coordinating the number of different trades involved was a little daunting. I've had two renovations done by Refresh. Both by Saleem in Auckland. One renovation was for my home and one for my business. Both went really well. They were well within the expected time frame and budget. Saleem managed everything really closely and was very good at maintaining regular communication. I also really like the app they use so you can see what's happening. Saleem managed any issues we had really quickly and there was minimal stress. Very happy with the quality of both jobs.

My experience with Refresh Renovations was only positive. From the outset, Saleem was helpful and knowledgeable. He offered lots of good ideas and nothing was ever too much trouble. The job was completed on time and there was constant communication. He even managed to find painters with a couple of day's notice for an emergency job outside of the original plan. Saleem is a perfectionist - once the work was done he came round and spotted things I hadn't even noticed and called tradespeople back to sort touch-ups. I couldn't recommend him highly enough.
