Jim Gleeson and Refresh Renovations have worked with us over the last couple of years to extensively renovate our home - re-roofing, renovating our upper level including replacing some windows and glass, and then the biggie, new kitchen, dining room and redecorating our living area. It has been a complex project and having Jim and the Refresh team coordinating it made all the difference. Budgets were comprehensive, so we were always confident of the work being done to our specifications, and knew exactly what proposed changes would add to the cost. Refresh staff are all very approachable and understand how 'renovation fatigue' can set in and were always ready to help make the process as smooth as possible. The extra push to get the kitchen finished before Christmas was greatly appreciated! We would not hesitate to recommend Refresh to others (and have done so already).

Having Refresh coordinate the various trades was extremely valuable to us given we both work full time and have two children. They provided a great service and had the customer at the heart of their process.

Don was great right from the first meeting, he understood what I wanted to achieve, I felt totally involved in the project and I was. It was like working with an old friend, he was very easy to get on with, and came up with some great ideas to improve the process and the outcome. I found him easy to communicate with - he has excellent customer service skills, he went the extra mile and helped out with things I wouldn't have expected him to do to make sure we kept to the very tight time frames and budget and I think formost he is a naturally honest hard working guy who enjoys what he does and that shows. I would highly recommend Don and would have no hesitation in using him again on any future projects I may undertake.

We are in our seventies and downsized from the city to a country cottage that needed a serious reno. We didn’t have a budget. We had a set amount. Family and friends said “good luck finding tradies”. This year we had Refresh Renovations update our laundry, two bathrooms and an ensuite. We are thrilled with the final results and are thoroughly enjoying our new fresh spaces. Zoe was the manager for our project and we found her so easy to work with, being very approachable. Her knowledge and attention to detail was clearly evident. Zoe listened and addressed any concerns in a very timely manner, even becoming our dog’s best friend. We would happily work with Zoe and the team from Refresh Renovations again.

We recently had our old carport removed. And new one built. This was the first major renovation we have been involved with so there was some anxiety. However we met Saleem who advised the process and all the steps involved. Saleem communicated the process clearly so we knew we were in good hands. There was quite a lot involved in the job covering a variety of different trades people. We had an on line link to the work timetable which also gave us the added function of being able to communicate any concerns. The communication was great between Saleem and ourselves so we always felt we were totally involved in the process. The quality of the build was nothing short of exceptional. We received much feedback from our neighbours who complimented the quality of the build Saleem is a fantastic project manager backed up by outstanding trades people. These included, builders, electricians, plumbers, roofers, concreters. Saleem as well as managing all trades people also dealt with the Auckland City Council. His knowledge of what was required to satisfy all building regulations was first class so we are absolutely sure we have a compliant carport that meets all building standards. I would certainly use Saleem again for any other major works.
