Wellington Gasfitters

Gas is an efficient and reliable fuel – and the Refresh Renovations team in Wellington can help you use it to keep your house toasty in winter, to cook like a pro in your kitchen, or to create a welcoming atmosphere in your lounge with a gas fireplace.

What’s involved when installing gas appliances or gas heating systems?

Whether you are retrofitting a gas heating system or are looking to install new gas appliances as part of a larger renovation, the Refresh Renovations Wellington gasfitters will help you find the best options and make the most of your budget.
A key part of our offer is project management, and this means that you will have a dedicated project manager who is your one point of contact and who will ensure that your project runs smoothly. This also means that we can take care of any necessary permits and manage all required contractors including flue pipe installers and ventilation installers. We utilise sophisticated project management software and follow a streamlined process that will take you from the first briefing through to the completed project.
Before the installation work can begin, many decisions have to be made around the design of your space, product and material selection, any relevant council regulations that have to be adhered to, and other considerations (for example if gas is available in your street or if you will use gas bottles or tanks). At Refresh, we focus on planning and create design concepts to work out all the details and resolve any issues early on.

How much does it cost?

Product and installation costs will depend on the scale and scope of your specific project. It’s important to have budget discussions up front and ensure that the design plan and all specifications work within what’s possible. There are many different gas fuelled products on the market, and we can recommend solutions that will work best for you, your budget and on your lifestyle.
Our team works closely with you and will keep you in the loop about the progress of your project. Should any unforeseen issues arise, we will be able to work through them with you and resolve them promptly, avoiding costly delays.

Which brands do you work with?

Our certified gasfitters and gas appliance installers work with the best technologies and brands on the market. We can help you choose the best value-for-money and space-saving products that are right for you and your house. Some of the quality brands we work with are Bosch, Brivis, Duopex, Rinnai, Rheem, Smeg, Vulcan, Valiant and Rudd. If you have another brand in mind, do let our expert gasfitters know and they will endeavour to make it work and find a solution.

We work across all the areas of greater Wellington, such as Thorndon, Te Aro, Karori, Brooklyn, Newtown, Island Bay, Miramar, Petone, Eastbourne, Upper Hutt, Lower Hutt and the Kapiti Coast.

Your Style,
Your Budget,
Our Expertise

Refresh®’s process supports a bespoke design and build: a renovation tailored to your lifestyle requirements and taste. Your local Heating & aircon renovation consultant will manage every aspect for you - working to keep everything on track.

Step 1

Briefing / Initial Consultation

The first thing your Heating & aircon renovation consultant will want to know is what it is that you want to achieve through your home renovation. In this initial consultation, you can throw all of your ideas on the table - your consultant will then tailor them to your property and budget.

Step 2

Concept and Feasibility

With a clear understanding of your renovation goals, your Heating & aircon consultant can arrange for an architectural concept to be drawn up. This allows your Heating & aircon consultant to assess whether or not your ideas are feasible, and allows you to point out any changes you would like in the design - before any work begins.

Step 3

Working Drawings and Costing

Next, working drawings will be developed. These will take into account the engineering, structural, design and aesthetic decisions you have made. If you would like to make any further changes, now is the time to do so. From there, your Heating & aircon consultant will present you with a fixed-quote as well as a contract.

Step 4

Build / Construction Stage

Finally, you get to witness your project transition from the page to your property! Every aspect of the build will be managed for you, allowing you to carry on with your everyday life. Your Heating & aircon consultant will do everything in their power to keep your project on schedule so that it can be completed within a set timeframe and budget.

Step 5

Your Finished Renovation

The final stage is for your local Heating & aircon consultant to ensure that all Council documentation is completed and you have the necessary Code of Compliance documentation. Congratulations – your renovation is complete!
